Wilson Property Maintenance has had some exciting things going on over here & we are excited to announce that we have decided to change our name!
For those of you that don't know, while Derek was in high school he spent his weekends working for Ralph Waller of Royal Oaks Farms. Working on this 40 acre farm, Derek cared for the livestock, mowed the property, fixed fencing - basically anything & everything that Mr. Waller asked of him. Through this working relationship, Mr. Waller became a mentor to Derek. He was more than a boss, he was someone that Derek could reach out to at any time with business questions or general life dilemmas. When Mr. Waller passed in February of 2019 it was a life changing event for Derek.
There have been many times that Derek has wanted to reach out to Mr. Waller since his passing, one of which was when he knew he wanted to change his business name. Derek debated for months, asked others & finally it just came to him. What better way to honor Mr. Waller than to name his business after his own farm & keep his legacy alive?
Therefore, Wilson Property Maintenance is proud to announce that we are changing our name to "Royal Oak Tree Services"! We care for your property & your trees as if they were our own. We aren't your typical franchise tree company, we are a "to the point, humble, from your own backyard, hardworking" business. Just like Mr. Waller was.
Our new logo comes from a tattoo that's on Derek's right shoulder. An oak tree growing out of cupped hands, which is how this business was born. It shows Mr. Waller's hands helping to shape Derek's business & grow into something strong & long lasting.
Thank you to all of our customers that have made it possible for us to live and grow this business. And of course to all of our friends & family that support us. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today!

I highly recommend Royal Oak Tree Services!! We were hesitant to take down a Water Oak in our backyard because we would be left with no shade; however while getting an estimate on a another tree, Derek pointed out the stress fractures in the tree and was genuinely concerned about our safety. Since he obviously knows trees better than we do, we took his advice and they took it down and found that it was rotting and full of water. Thank you for caring about your customers, Derek!!
And they left everything at the curb in neat piles to be picked up and hauled away.

Extremely professional and proficient. It's hard to trust a tree service when they're removing trees near your house and belongings but Derek at Royal Oaks is professional and skillful. They took down some huge pine trees in my neighborhood and so we hired them to take down a few trees in our yard. They arrived on time and cleaned up when they left. Their professionalism was appreciated. Top notch.
